
Aguanga, CA - Knöppelåsen, an Aguanga based nonprofit is hosting guest lecturer William Pink from the Agua Caliente Tribe of Cupeno Indians, in Pala, CA.
Best known for his skill as a practicing ethnobotanist and teacher, Pink is also recognized for his work with the native plant nursery of Pechanga, a past member of the California Desert Conservation Area Advisory Committee and former Tribal Chairman of the Pala Band of Mission Indians. Pink will be speaking on edible and medicinal plants as they
are foraged and cultivated by the local tribes. This aligns with the mission of Knöppelåsen of being an environmental steward of the land through native plant restoration, better foods for better health and food security.
The lecture will be held on Saturday, April 12 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with local food based lunch prepared by Chef Alex. The address will be given on RSVP as it will be held at a private residence.

This event is free for the public. After the lecture, there will be an opportunity to meet and greet the lecturer and hosts, and to purchase plants from the native Knöppelåsen nursery.
Knöppelåsen is a 501c3 nonprofit. They will be holding a fundraising online Silent Auction from April 1 until 2 pm on April 12. Winners to be announced after lunch.
