Are you passionate about protecting the planet? Do you want to inspire others to recycle, compost, and live sustainably? Become an outreach volunteer with the Riverside County Department of Waste Resources and be part of a movement that makes an impact. Outreach volunteers play a vital role by assisting at classes and events, engaging with the
public, answering questions about recycling and composting programs, and distributing educational materials. If you enjoy meeting people, learning new things, and advocating for the environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Volunteers commit to attending an orientation and training session and contributing just ten hours of volunteer time per year. Events are held across Riverside
County, and volunteers can choose dates and locations that fit their schedules. Bilingual volunteers are especially encouraged to join. Want to take your involvement further? Volunteers can pursue additional training to become certified master composters, enabling them to teach classes and mentor schools and community gardens.
